I am so tired. I want to take a break. I don't want to go to work. 회사 가기가 싫어요. 월급이 부족하고 일이 많고 정신이 없어지는데 회사에 가기를 굉장히 싫어한다. 그렇지만 이 노래를 듣고 나서 이상하게 회사에 가고 싶다. 아이러니가 아니죠? ㅋㅋ

사랑할 수 있는 날

I find its interesting in the way Koreans celebrate love. Besides Valentine's Day on February 14, there is the White Day on March 14, the Black Day on April 14 and the Pepero Day on November 11. This is way too much a reminder for some Singaporeans who just cannot wait for Valentine's Day to be over every year. In Singapore, they only need to be reminded once a year but in Korea, they will be reminded four times a year. I just wish them well if they happen to be staying in Korea.

In Korea, during Valentine's Day, women are supposed to give gifts to the men. This is quite unlike Singapore where the men are kinda expected to give rose, gift and treat to the women. In Korea, men who received gifts on Valentine's Day are expected to return the favour by giving gifts to the women on the White Day a month later.

What happen to those men who did not receive or give gifts on Valentine's Day or White Day? They celebrate the Black Day, one month after the White Day, on April 14. Lonely men called themselves "Solo Unit" (솔로부대-单身部對) and grouped together to eat JJajangmyeon (짜장면-炸酱面). I guess the reason why Jjajangmyeon is chosen has something to do with the black bean sauce. Men should not be overly worried if they have to eat Jjangjangmyeon on April 14 as there is "beauty in black" - like what the flash animation below is trying to say.

To wrap up a year in Korea, there is still a Pepero Day to celebrate. Pepero Day is somewhat similar to Valentine's Day. On November 11, mostly young couples and people, exchange Pepero sticks, candies and gifts. Pepero (빼빼로) is a Korean snack made by Lotte. Pepero stick looks identical to a Pocky stick - a biscuit stick coated in chocolate. November 11 is so called Pepero Day because 11/11 resembles four sticks of Pepero. Its association with lovers comes about because 11/11 also symbolises pairing up of two individuals. However, contrary to Korea, November 11 in China is known as a day for the singles. I guess that is because China doesn't have Pepero sticks :)

The weather has been rather erratic recently. One moment it is raining non-stop. The next moment it is bright and sunny. It is so easy to catch a cold when there is drastic weather change. So everyone out there, please take care.

Just another animation of Pucca and Garu and that is it. I thought that this skydiving kiss is quite out of this world. I like it for its creativity in term of its idea and not its dramatic kiss. Pucca comic is all about Pucca trying to steal kisses from Garu and so kissing scene is unavoidable. Anyway, just enjoy.

Pucca and Garu are two Korean comic characters. Pucca is always on a lookout for Garu to kiss. As Pucca is more skillful and powerful, she always succeeds in kissing Garu despite Garu trying to run away from it. In this flash animation, Pucca will demonstrate the following kisses with Garu:

Christmas is just around the corner. I thought of posting this flash animation to give my blog an early festive mood. ^^

Archery



The objective of this game is to burst the balloons with the arrows. To move the bowman up and down, press the 'up' and 'down' arrow key. To release the arrow, press the spacebar. If you play this game long enough, I promise that you will learn how to write 'failure'(실패-失敗) in Korean. Try it out to know what I mean.

Hexagame



This game is a variant of Tetris. If there are two or more tiles of the same kind side by side in a vertical or horizontal line, use the mouse to click on one of the tiles and all tiles will disappear. Remove as much tiles as possible and prevent the tiles from reaching the top of the box. This is a simple game and anymore explanation from me will confuse you. So play it only if you are bored.

감자도리

I first came across gamzadori in Song's blog. 감자 is potato and 도리(道理) is something like philosophy. 감자도리 or gamzadori means potato's philosophy. This gamzadori's flash animation is about 감자 which left on a trip to become a 고구마(sweet potato). 귀엽네요!
