The above picture is the night scene of Seoul as seen from the top of Namsan. Namsan is the most popular place in Seoul to view the first sunrise of the year. I wasn't there last year because I couldn't wake up early. I heard Namsan was extremely cold (-11degC) and crowded on the first morning of New Year 2009. How will it be like in 2010? Actually, I am not that interested in the first sunrise. I am more interested in the hope which a new year brings. However, if the first sunrise represents hope, I don't mind witnessing it.

ReplyDeleteI ran into the new book by Choi Inho at YB Books by accident today, and the pictures used to illustrate his stories remind me very much some of some of the pictures of your blog, maybe because of some very similar motifs.
