Jean, my edic is bought in Korea and cost me 190,000won. The exchange rate then was 1 to 620won. The edic should be "cheaper" now since Sing dollar has gone up.
James, this isn't a small-form factor laptop. It is just a humble electronics dictionary. I am sure it is not what you are looking for :)
Cheryl, this edic is not only nice to look at but is also packed with functions. One thing that never disappoint is the MP3 playback function and that's iRiver strength.
Hi!! I really like your dictionary it's awesome!!! I want to buy one but my korean isn't good enough to buy one in a korean website. Is there any english website or english translation where i can buy one?
I did a search and this dictionary is being sold in ebay at $299 USD. When I bought mine in Korea, it only cost me about $220 USD. Lack of other alternatives, you may like to check out the following ebay site for online purchase
Thank you!! Well i think i'll have to organize a trip to Korea to buy electronic stuff but the only problem is the language. i'll ask my korean friends about it...it's difficult to find the correct one because the possibilities are huge(different models). In Spain is not very used this kind of device but since i'm learning chinese and korean it's a good tool.
I was actually thinking of nurian x35 or iriver d100. I understand that nurian has a wider range of dictionaries, but how's the iriver one you have so far? is it sufficient for intermediate users?
if content is impt, i will go for either nurian x15 or x16. if style is impt, i will go for iriver d100. from what i see when comparing specs, x35 is actually inferior (content-wise) to x15 0r x16, so i don't think it is worth paying extra for its sleek design and some other functions which you probably won't ever use.
actually, you may not need a e-dic after all. if you have iphone, try to search for apps on KOR-ENG dictionary. you can also use naver or daum online dictionary, they are quite adequate. frankly, i seldom touch my e-dic these days. i rely entirely on daum dictionary for meaning of words. my e-dic is now a white elephant.
haha in that case, would you be looking to sell your e-dic by any chance? i do have an iphone with dictionary apps, but the battery life is very bad, especially when i turn on 3G. it probably lasts about 4hrs or so? so i was trying to find something more lasting, and since they come with mp3 functions it's good too (:
if my e-dic is in good shape, i'll sell. but, its battery life is now much worse than your iphone. some rubber cushions have also disintegrated. i shall keep it as souvenir then.
there are 2 things you can do now. one, upgrade to iphone4 which has longer battery life. two, buy iriver becos its mp3 music sounds much better than ipod. nurian or iphone is never going to win iriver in mp3 sound quality.
와.... 세사전이 너무예뻐요. 훅시 싱가포르에서 샀어요?? 얼마에요? :)
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be quite a lot of these small form factor laptops about nowadays.
Personally though i would be looking for some form of tablet with a touch screen - so this is probably not quite the sort of thing i would want. :(
Can i just say..... 우와아아아아....
ReplyDeleteIt looks really good enough to eat! Haha. So pretty!

Anyway thanks a lot!
Are you still happy with the D25? I am searching for new edic and found that D25 is the prettiest amongst all....
ReplyDeleteOf course, I am happy :)
ReplyDeletehomg i want one too but it's so expensive \cries
ReplyDeletehi, I'm intending to get an e-dictionary but I can't decide on which brand: iriver/sharp/nurian. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance! (:
ReplyDeletethe choice of serious korean language learners is nurian. iriver's strength is design and multimedia while sharp is just another e-dic.
ReplyDeletenurian x15 should be good enough. anything more, you'll be paying for things that you don't use.
