With Consonant
When 'ㅢ' is with a consonant (like ㅎ, ㄸ), it is pronounced as [이].
Example:
희망 (hope) - [히망].
띄어쓰기 (words spacing) - [띠어쓰기]
무늬 (pattern) - [무니]
Without Consonant
Situation 1 - When '의' is the first syllable of a word, '의' is pronounced as [의].
Example:
의사 (doctor) - [의사]
의식 (awareness) - [의식]
Situation 2 - When '의' is NOT the first syllable of a word, '의' is pronounced as [이]
Example:
동의 (agreement) - [동이]
