부엉이족

During our last field trip to Everland, I was in the Safari bus when I snapped a shot of this big owl which was staring down at me from its cage. It is called 부엉이 or the Korean Scops Owl.

There is a Korean expression which is associated with this bird. It is 부엉이족 which literally means Korean Scops Owl's Family or people who stay up late at night.

I think I am going to join the 부엉이족 tonight due to caffeine overdose. I drank a hazelnut caramel latte grande (large size) this afternoon. It was way too much coffee. I should have just order tall (regular size) instead.
