우연한 만남

At Garosugil (가로수길) a Korean came up and asked about my camera. We ended up chatting for a while after he found out a foreigner was speaking Korean to him. It has been a long time since I spoke Korean. As usual, the same old questions pop up like how do you know how to speak Korean and what do you like about Korea. I discovered my answer on what I like about Korea changes from time to time. I probably don't know the answer, 그냥.

The day temperature at Daegu reached 27 degrees today, it is expected to hit 30 tomorrow. Daegu is living up to its reputation as the warmest city in Korea.

The sun rises as usual today like any other day but the difference is I witnessed it. How many beautiful things slipped past us while we are busy working to put food on table. The sun has risen, look like it's going to be a sunny day. What is the little change you are going to make today?

I have not been on leave for two years. I could have go on and on but I have not forgotten I need rest to walk further. I must rest well as new challenges await.

도전 실패

I have underestimated the difficulty of climbing Mt. Jiri. The challenge to scale the 1915m high mountain was aborted halfway as any wilfulness to push on could end in real emergency. I am in luck to return in one piece. It was a gruelling day and I need some time to nurse my aching legs.

햇살 꽃밭

After two days of rain, the sun is finally out beaming brightly. There are tulips and tulips all around me. There is beauty in huge number. A few hundred tulips are just flowers but when you have hundreds of thousands of them, they become scenery.

It has been raining since early morning. It's good I don't have a fixed plan to follow. I am still thinking where I should go later. I just realize it's noontime on Monday, no wonder cafe is so empty. Another lazy day of doing nothing, another day of good rest. 봄비야 사랑합니다.

봄비로 시작이 좋아

It is raining outside. Spring rain and coffee are escaping with me from Seoul. Why do I feel that Seoul is so crowded and suffocating these days?  I want to escape to a place where there are no high-rise buildings and traffic jam and far from the maddening crowd. The distant misty mountains and the humming bus engine are making me sleepy. I don't have to wake up for the next 2 hours which is good. Living in the present is happiness.
